About

In spite of her love of reading, lauren has never considered herself very good with words. As a result, she’s turned to visual arts to express herself – painting, drawing, and photography, the latter of which she fell in love with and has been using to capture the world around her ever since.

Her passion for pretty pictures and nasty chemicals landed her at NSCAD University, where she honed her skill behind the lens and discovered a new tool called the “computer”. In addition to her training in composition and the “finer” arts, lauren has photographed in both digital and analog realms, from studio and set to the street, portraits to products, though she cultivates an addiction to landscape and the digital creation of images.

Since 2005, lauren has shown work at galleries in Halifax, Cape Breton, and Toronto. She continues to shoot, both professionally and personally, and is rarely seen without a camera in hand.

Her photographs show her understanding of the world around her, often featuring horses (her other love), vistas of the places she’s explored, and the friends she’s made along the way.

Now if only she had a witty catch phrase.
